Hopefully you were tuned into the Food Network Sunday night, January 23rd to see Joshua John Russell and his assitant Karen Portaelo win yet another Food Network Challenge. This week's challenge was Standup Comedy Cakes. Joshua and Karen's cake was a food fight and not in the traditional sense of the phrase.
Joshua and Karen took it to a more literal level with Angel Food Cake v. Deviled Egg. Their detail is amazing. The looks on the characters' faces are more reminiscent of early movie characters from 'A Trip to the Moon' than something you would expect to see on a cake. From the edible feathers to the expressions on each individual strawberry, it is clear how much talent these two posses.
